A Relationship That Started at Sea
Some love stories begin in coffee shops or classrooms.
Riley and Tristen’s started on a cruise!
Since meeting, they’ve been on nine cruises together, and if you know Riley, that number will probably keep growing. Cruising is one of her biggest passions. In fact, she recently spent 45 days at sea with her mom, and it’s easy to see how much she lights up whenever she talks about traveling!
Adventure has become such a natural part of their relationship. Whether they’re planning another cruise, trying somewhere new, or simply wandering through a new city together, they’re happiest when they’re experiencing life side by side!
Because of that, St. Augustine was the perfect place for their session!!

Exploring St. Augustine Together
One of my favorite things about photographing couples is incorporating activities they’d actually do together!
Instead of standing in one spot for an hour smiling at the camera, we wandered through the historic streets, stopped for gelato Café Del Hidalgo, explored hidden corners, and eventually made our way toward the bayfront. Along the way, we talked, laughed, and let the evening unfold naturally!
Those little moments in between are always my favorite.
It’s the conversations that happen while you’re walking from one spot to the next!
Then there’s the way one of you reaches for the other’s hand without even thinking.
Finally, it’s the laughter that comes after one of my prompts catches you completely off guard…
Those are the photos that end up meaning the most years later because they bring you right back to how everything felt.
